I’m probably going to Ocala for 2-3 months next winter to show at HITS and my parents can’t come with me because they can’t afford to take the time off work, and it’s making me really anxious. They’ve always been my rock when it comes to showing. Like I know my grandma might be coming for 6 weeks and my dad for 4 but its just not the same. My mum probably can’t come at all and my siblings definitely won’t come, so it’ll just be me and it’ll be my first time showing as an amateur and I’m really excited, but I’m really scared.

Have you ever just looked at someone and thought, “I really love you”. They’re just talking or humming or watching a movie or reading a book or laughing or something, and there’s something about them in that moment—their body is alive, there’s a light in their eyes, something—that makes you think, “I just really love you.” It’s a weird sensation to think this, but it’s pretty awesome that we can feel this way about another being.

This is my last summer of being a junior for me and its really starting to scare me. I had all these dreams as a junior that none got fulfilled. I really want to make my amateur years the best years of my riding career.
